Why Consider Counselling ?
We are all unique individuals and face challenges in life, some of which we can find difficult to work through alone. Your voice is important and counselling enables you to tell your story and be heard. Therapeutic sessions allow you to gain insight and understanding of your situation in a relaxed, warm, safe and non-judgemental environment.
You may be dealing with issues of anxiety, stress, guilt, shame or experiencing feelings of loneliness or depression. You may have suffered a bereavement or the loss of a close relationship or may have never told anyone about your situation. Perhaps you feel that you are alone, not being heard or nobody understands.
How I Work:
I am an integrative counsellor, which combines different theoretical models enabling you to explore issues rather than adhering to a singular approach. This enables me to be guided by issues presented by my clients, utilising the best model to their situation.
I have experienced the most success with my clients, past and present, by building a warm, trusting and professional relationship allowing clients to explore openly. Some clients I have continued to work with successfully over many years of therapy and have developed a good working relationship with.
I work with Individuals on a one-to-one basis and also with couples jointly in relationship counselling. I am a Registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (MBACP) and adhere to their ethical framework.
Experience Of Working With Clients:
With over 12+ years experience of working in Therapy with Clients I have experience of working with a wide range of issues such as:
Depression, Anxiety, Relationship Issues, Abuse, Childhood / Sexual Abuse, bereavement and loss, family issues, anger management, Bullying, Health Issues (cancer), Child related issues, domestic violence, self-confidence / esteem issues, self harm, work related stress, suicidal thoughts, trauma and working with clients with Aspergers and those with learning difficulties.
